Since the dawn of time, humans have looked up at the skies and wondered what was up there. Amazingly, with all these centuries of sky-watching, it’s only been in the last 50 years that humans have actually achieved the ability to visit those points of light in the sky. We’ve sent robotic spacecraft to take pictures, and we’ve also sent astronauts to experience seeing the Earth from the heavens. Humans have walked on the Moon, and future plans call for people to return to the Moon and continue on to Mars and beyond. Space exploration is one of humanity’s grandest adventures, filled with stories of amazing discoveries and narrow escapes.
